The National Contract Cleaners Association (NCCA) (Gauteng branch) held the first branch meeting for 2024 at its new offices in the training room of a revamped Helvetia House in Germiston, Johannesburg on 16 January. The meeting was well attended by suppliers as well as contract cleaning companies. Issues that were discussed during the meeting included branch membership status, membership fees, the national minimum wage, and the establishment of a Bargaining Council for the industry. Towards the end of the meeting, Steve Braham of SWB Agencies presented an overview of this year’s industry tour to the Interclean Show in Amsterdam.
